What happened to Beginner's Luck

So my record in Fantasy Football (no money) is 2-7. This is my first time playing Fantasy with a few friends. The problem may be that there are only 4 teams in the league. So someone has to suck. But the best record I could get if I WIN out is 9-7. That doesn't look like beginner's luck to me...anyway I'm pretty upset. (well not really, but, if it was a REAL team, tears would be flowing waaaahhh!!)
I thought I had a pretty good chance with Peyton Manning on my team. But no, I am still in LAST PLACE. Hopefully my team will make a turn around and I'll remember to manage my team before the big Sunday. Tailgating always gets in my way of managing. I never remember to manage my team before I leave for the Q, then I have to commission my friend Jorge to manage it.

Yes, I'm really in to this Fantasy thing, I want BRAGGING RIGHTS!

Did you hear about Nick Hogan? Arrested. WOW! I wonder what Hollywood Hogan thinks of this?

Brother Turns 30

So it's been a while since I've been able to celebrate my brother's birthday with him. His wife has organized a nice little gathering with close friends and family at their house tonight. I am anticipating a very chill atmosphere, but, I never know with that group. Anyway, I wanted to dedicate this post to my brother. Throughout life, I've always looked up to my brother (literally). He traveled to another country and went to school there for a whole year. He got scholarship money for school and I wanted to do the same. As I grew older, I realized that I was never going to be my brother or do the things my brother did. But I'm not bitter. His experiences taught me how to deal with my life on my own. He is always been a little bit more mature than I have been. We have different likes and dislikes, but, I know he is my brother and I love him for that. I'll be spending lots of time with family today and I am wishing my brother a happy happy 30th birthday!

Sign MIKE LOWELL

Although they are my 3rd favorite team I'm soooo happy that the Boston Red Sox won the Fall Classic on Sunday. They definitely deserved it and it makes me feel good that the Yankees didn't win this year. I'm proud of the entire Red Sox team and as a note to the owners/president etc etc: SIGN MIKE LOWELL!!!
and I must say... yes I am a proud member of the Red Sox Nation... wouldn't you be if Manny being Manny waved hi to you?!

Classic Jim.

San Diego is Burning.

The fires started on Sunday. They are still going. If you want to find out more info on the fire click here. The community of Paradise Hills-- my community--is not affected at this time but it was quite scary to see it crest over Mount San Miguel. About midnight last night, the fire shadow was hidden and then it appeared over the mountain. It was moving fast and it looked like hell. Today I'm not going to work; my office is located less than 1/2 mile from the evacuated areas of Eastlake. But, I'm going to go volunteer at Qualcomm Stadium later today with a sorority sister. Most of the people I know in the evacuated areas are doing fine and in safe communities.

At this point in time, I don't want to be anywhere else but San Diego. I want to be here with my family and in support with my fellow San Diegans.

Fire, fire go away.

Pepper For Your Head

So I left this little blogspot for a minute but now I am back and I'm ready to start posting again. I'll try to keep things interesting here (as I do have more than just one blog). But anyway, here's a little pepper for your head.

PS. My Dad called me Pepper when I played
soccer at Penn Field, the nickname stuck.
