Is his legacy still there?

Brett Favre's legacy is in question ever since he decided to un-retire a 2nd time. His performance was under constant scrutiny and criticism was more prevalent. We all know that he's a Super Bowl Champion and that can't be taken away from him. Yet, the sports news outlets remained obsessed with #4's "legacy" (and sometimes controversy). On January 2, 2011, Favre was unable to play against the Detroit Lions in the final game of the regular NFL season due to his inability to pass post-concussion tests. In a press conference immediately following the game, Favre announced his intention to retire from professional football. Could this be it? We've heard this from him a few times now and I know he's not getting any younger but it seems like a bad joke now. He might get that urge or a sudden boost to play again and un-retire AGAIN. Do these moves along with the alleged sexting including adulterous behavior hurt the legacy of Brett Favre? I think so. I like to call him Brent -it's less annoying than Brett. I am tired of seeing his name. He should have just stayed retired. His legacy would have been frozen and not tainted like it seems to be now. I will give him credit for his passing and consecutive starts records. But, when was the last time you about this stuff from Brent?

With that said, do you think that other players can overstay their welcome in the NFL?
